Hello, thank you for taking the time to consider my question.

I bought a laptop for my (now ex-) girlfriend last Christmas from eBay, it was a new Dell laptop - but it was turned on (to prove it?).

It worked the first few times, but is now called the Windows key number, if the device is switched on.

Since this is a new laptop and Windows was on the presumption that this needs to be charged a legal copy and code must be somewhere on the laptop.

Where can I find? Is it in the box? Where can I find?
