Tax Deduction Donate A Washer And Dryer Can I Get A Tax Deduction For Donated Clothing?

Can I get a tax deduction for donated clothing? - tax deduction donate a washer and dryer

Can the tax deductibility of donations of used clothing to goodwill value of the army or Hello or a women's shelter or something along that line? And if so, what kind of documents do I need to be successful? I ask because I am cleaning my closet and I'll build a big pile of clothes I wear nothing, but only plan to donate.

It is a charitable deduction SCH-A. It's just a general use, if you specify.

Most legitimate charities you give a receipt, usually knows. You need to calculate how much clothing. Walk in the business or whatever to see what the sales of similar clothing. Write it. This is your deduction. "Savings" is the word to describe what the fair market value.
